A T-shirt (or tee shirt) is a shirt, which is pulled on over the head to cover most of a person's torso. A T-shirt is usually a buttonless, collarless, and pocketless, with a round neck and short sleeve. T-shirts are typically made of cotton or polyester fibers (or a mix of the two). T-shirts can be decorated with text and/or pictures, and are sometimes used to advertise. T-shirts are designed for men and women, and for all age groups, including baby, youth, and adult sizes. They are great protection from the sun and useful for all wears, but the main reason being the fashion. T-Shirts have given users a choice of creating a ‘personal brand' which they can personalize the T-Shirt to their taste, political affiliations or personal thought. This is an angle of uniqueness to T-Shirt design. No other apparel enjoys the same kind of creative space that a T-shirt does.

All irrespective of age wears T-shirts. It has become a comfortable way of dressing rather than wearing it just for the sake of it. It also has also become a medium for self-expression and advertising. You can display any imaginable combination of words, art and even photographs on your t-shirt. With the advertising media becoming more and more advanced, screen printing a company's product on t-shirts has become one such advanced method of advertising. These days it has become a fancy to sport t-shirts with images and wordings printed on it. These images and wordings can be custom made to suit the user's preference or taste. Earlier, consumers had to buy t-shirts that was manufactured with the printings on them. They never had the option to choose the images or wordings of their choice. Times have changed and customers have the option of choosing what to print on their t-shirts. There are a number of shops available that do custom printing on clothes. The technology adopted by these shops might be more or less the same. It has become a simple affair to get one's preferred images or wordings printed on t-shirts. All you need to do is get the required image or wording to the shop where they screen print them on to your t-shirts and get it done. It takes hardly a couple of hours to get it done. It has become affordable too.

The last few years has seen a lot of outlets, which screen print on t-shirts, popping up. This is indeed advantageous to the consumers as they have a wide option to choose from. Companies have resorted to screen printing on t-shirts as a medium of advertising their products. This is a cost effective method too. You can advertise just anything on your t-shirt. It is a very effective medium of advertising since it is a hoarding on the move. More over it catches everyone's attention quickly. Companies have started distributing t-shirts free which has their product screen printed on it. But in order to grasp everyone's attention to the advertising on the t-shirt, the design has to be a catch one. Now-a-days, any promotional event hosted by a company will have the employees wearing a t-shirt with the company's advertisement screen printed on it. This creates a feeling in the viewer's minds that the company is seriously focused on advertising its products. The equipments to do screen printing have become more affordable these days that in future you will be able to do your own screen printing on your t-shirts.
